Malden Maddogs Get First ICL Win in Lexington

Ethan Harris’ solo homer in the top of the eighth inning produced the winning run when the Malden Maddogs won their first ICL game in a 3-2 extra-innings win over the Blie Sox in Lexington.  It was the only game on Friday’s schedule.

Pete Maltzen’s two RBI single in the first inning gave the Maddogs an early 2-0 lead.
The Blue Sox tied the game on a fifth inning John Putress single and a Richie Burgos sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh.

Joe Klingensmith (1-0) picked up the win while Nick Godfroy (0-1) was tagged with the loss.

There are no games scheduled on Saturday.
