Intercity League set to defend All-Star tournament title

Concord, MA The Intercity Baseball League will participate in the second annual Eastern Massachusetts Amateur Baseball Classic on Saturday, July 13 at Rockland Stadium. The ICL is the defending champion in the four-team format that features the best players from the Park League, Cranberry League, Yawkey League, and the ICL.

The Cranberry League will play the Boston Park League at noon. The Intercity League will play the Yawkey League at 3:30. The winners will play at 7:30 for the championship and greater Boston bragging rights. Admission is FREE!!!

The 2012 tournament was hosted by the ICL at Lexington High School. The Cranberry League defeated the Yawkey League 8-3 in the opening game. In game two, the host ICL beat the Park League 5-2. In the Championship game on Sunday July 8 the ICL won the title with a 6-5 victory over the best from the Cranberry League.

For the second straight year Pointstreak will be the official statistician for the All-Star tournament. All three games will be scored live by official scorer Bruce Hack and may be viewed on the internet at www.pointstreak.com/baseball/scoreboard.html?leagueid=789&seasonid=26148.
